Mood

So here is what i am thinking for this part of the living room. I want to get that chair reupholstered, as when i got it it looked as if someone had died on it.... So yeah- also I want to get a pillow made for the seat of it so that it is even comfier, I want it to be functional. Eventually it is possible that this chair could end up on either side of our dining room table, only time will tell!!

Then with the help of Chair Table Lamp, I found some of these beautiful desks/ dressers that I think would be lovely behind the chair, I would love to house a little bar area over there with a pretty lamp, and a mirror above, or a really interesting photograph like the one above. We are clearly going with a blue and white theme!!

Here is an image of a lamp I am looking at as well as a bar I love.....

Greek

Blayre and I purchased this pillow yesterday on Etsy and I can't wait to get it!! I was first taken by it when I saw it in Lonny Magazine in this piece they had done about travel and design. I thought to myself "What the hell- why not!!" I have never yet purchased anything from Etsy so I am majorly excited it should be here by weeks end!! It will definitely add a huge pop of color to the couch. I also want to pair it with this image I found.

Check out more pillows styles on Loubella's Etsy Shop.

I'm so excited for it to come together!!!

Gallery

I love gallery walls, especially when the color are subdued like this one. The vibe is a little retro/vintage, but traditional I think because of the white couch and bench....

The black and white photographs also offers a contrast, but doesn't take away from the prettiness of the pastel photographs.... Love!!!

Get this Look...

I continuously reference the pages of Lonny and this is by far one of my favorite articles they have ever had- Feb/March 2010, it featured Antonia and Victoria Thomson, two sisters who purchased there apartments in the same building, sage square footage- way different interior.... Here is how to get the look from there offices....

Also read the article because these girls are both incredibly creative and gifted decorators!!

2 Great Finds

Over the past weekend at the St. Lawrence Market Blayre and I found two great pieces. We are both big fans of Mad Men and so we have been looking for the perfect decanter for some time- we found one and bargained it down to $12 dollars, I love it all we need now is some Scotch!! Or maybe instead some Schnaps Butter Ripple!!!

We also picked up a beautiful serving platter, I can't wait to use this! So pretty, it will look great with a nice big salad on it or cupcakes, or anything served family style, I love to mix old and new so this is definitely a great find!!

Oh, Christmas Tree

This is so gorgeous with large round table in the middle of the room! Look at the striping of the carpet and the detailing in the on the ceiling! It has a Nutcracker vibe to me! I always love the combination of blue and white!

Blue + White + 1 Year Anniversary!!

I love this.... Also on a more interesting note: I just realized that a year ago yesterday October 19th 2009- was the 1 year anniversary of my lovely blog!! Wow how time flies!! I hope that this time next year is just as fabulous and enlightening as the one that has just passed me by in a glimpse of the eye. I never at this time last year would have predicted the move to Toronto, nor my shift from Design to Marketing, and then my discovery of Visual Presentation, as well as my flourishing love and passion for Interior Design, and then all of the fun opportunities that are starting to come around are just fabulous as I just created this all as an online portfolio! So love to all of you that come visit me on a daily basis, and please continue to stick with me as I take this journey in my life!

Framed Windows

I came across this really elegant building the other day, and was instantly in love!! I adore the windows- Gold & Framed- OMG!! How chic! I have never seen this before, so I was really taken by this look, it really adds something special to a bare white brick building. I am not sure what it is, but I want to live in the building and run a shop out of the bottom floor- Middle floor would be a fabulous office/ studio for Blayre and I! What do you think??

Petite Maison

This is one of the most charming homes/whimsical cottages I have ever encountered! It feels like something from Alice in Wonderland, or a Tim Burton film! How precious is it, small in size- big in style and lux! Found on one of my favorite blogs... (Jennifer- I thought of you when I found this!!)

Console Me

We just bought a fantastic console for our "dinning room" on craigslist. It is just about brad new, it retails for about 300 CND, and we bought it for 50 CND!!! We were ecstatic! We still have to put some shelving in above it, as well as touch up the paint a little, and then we are on our way to being finished in that room!! I haven't really decorated that space yet, so sorry for the mess!!

What do you think??

How to Make an Entrance...

This is the entry way of Megan Mullally's (Karen from WIll and Grace) home. The lines are so clean and simple, bu there is a lot of visual interest going on. I am not usually a big animal print fan, but I love the benches, tucked under the consoles, the hints of green and gold on a clean white wall, and of course the beautiful dark wood floors. Also if you look into the distance you can see a beautiful chandelier in the foyer!

Lady of the House

I must say I am really enjoying blue interiors at the moment, especially when there are white accents! This gorgeous Hotel, in Capri is so regal and crisp, yet there is something slightly relaxed about it-perhaps the striped area rug? Another point of intrigue are the gorgeous circular windows, and if you look beyond that there is a lovely fireplace in the distance. I could totally see myself enjoying a lovely Pimms cocktail here! I'm Feeling Sleepy...

Here are two beds I would love to dive into at the moment. I am absolutely exhausted, today my Dad and I biked from one side of the Island of Montreal to the other, then I searched for hours online for a new apartment in Toronto, organized movers, train tickets, bought plane tickets to Italy, and rented a car! If anyone has heard any whispers of a place that may be available I am all ears!!
On a softer note- What's your idea of a perfect bed?

Beautiful Blanche

Hey Everyone! Today I have been totally inspired by WHITE! I love this Design trend, it is so elegant and timeless and it feels very grown up... White is so fresh and beautiful, and there are so many combinations you can do, I especially like it when there are pops of color! Although I am not sure I could keep things this tidy all of the time I love the idea!
