Around the House

Here are a few mini updates from around the home, including the newly upholstered chairs. Our place has gone in a direction I never really anticipated, but I love it. Kind of Scandanavian/ 70's-80's eclectic glam meets London, hahah I could go on and on....Today is a lazy post, I think I am just itchy for nicer weather so I can hit the streets for new inspiration. I am planning on photographing some of my work so I can share with you all next week, I will try my best to get it all done before next weeks end. Can't wait to share!!

The Little Things

I am always trying to improve my home. Like many I have a budget and so I am always trying to come up with ways to refresh my home without spending a fortune. Here are a few ways to give your space a facelift, all of the tools are at your fingertips- time to get out there and be creative! These are all things I have done, and continue to do, you may have to go out and buy a can of paint, but it will be worth it! Have a great day!! xo

Flowers, as you know I am always changing things up with flower arrangements. It is such an easy way to experiment with color, to see it you can further commit to in a fabric, artwork etc. I truly believe that a small bundle of flowers will completely transform a room- and a mood! They are such pick me ups, they brighten a space, add sophistication, support the current color scheme. I love adding bright coral for a burst of vibrant color!! 

Revamp an old piece of furniture with a coat of paint. It is so worth it to customize a piece that you will love to spruce up your space. If you are looking to add a pop of color in a neutral room- paint an tired piece of furniture in a glossy cherry red. I am still a big fan of painted pieces, it is a very economical/great way to incorporate color into your decor.

Paint a Chalkboard! An easy paint job that will create big impact. Here are some pics of our old apartment where we painted a small portion of the wall- it really livened up the space, I would definitely do a chalkboard wall again! Check out more pics of our old apartment here.

Bathroom Confidential

In the Kitchen...

I can't believe we have been in Toronto for 8 months!! A lot of progress has been made since we first moved in- here is a look at the kitchen...

I love being in the kitchen cooking, there is nothing like it. To know you are creating something that someone else will enjoy is a wonderful feeling!

Although, in my next home I am going to make sure that it is at least twice the size- here are some pics of our current space!

When the Moon Hits Your Eye....

MMmmmm Pizza.... I love it, when it is done well there is nothing better- Serve it with a glass of vino, end with a cappuccino and tiramisu= perfecto!!

Topping Included- Pesto, Olive oil, Mint, Freshly squeezed lemon, Mozzarella, Fig, Onion, and Pecans. One of the best combos I have ever tried.... I dare you to make one for yourself tonight, my boyfriend LOVES these pizzas!!

I had the most fabulous date night yesterday it was my anniversary "weekend", I want to just give a shout out to Blayre my boyfriend, to say how lucky I am- how much I love our life together(& Brucey), It has been 4 beautiful years, I love you very much- and to many, many more years together.... I am a lucky girl, Blayre surprised me with Coriander Girl flowers- They are so are divine- Gorgeous, fresh and unique are a few other words to describe them... I just love them, I wish I could get a new bouquet each week!!

So this is for all of you out there who believe in love, it is a beautiful thing!!

Puppy & Tulips

I love this guy so I really can't help taking cute pictures of him at the moment!!! Also here is a look at my Monday flowers!! Meet Bruce!!

Hey Everyone!! This weekend was very exciting!! Blayre and I welcomed a new member to our family!! We got a Bugg(Boston Terrier/Pug) and named him Bruce Wayne!!! Yes..... Like Batman- my boyfriend totally won my heart with that name, and it fits so well!! He is so cuddly and precious and we really can't even remember what it was like without him in our lives!! A dog is the best companion, it feels so great to have him here!! Anyways I am soooooo excited about this!! Here are some pics!!
