Make Over

Hope you had a great weekend! Cabbagetown was pretty snowed in, we took full advantage of this by staying cozy, watching lots of movies- Have you seen The Life of PI? It is the most gorgeous movie I have ever seen, very spiritual and a must see. Also House of Cards new show on Netflix- pretty awesome political drama, watched a bunch of episodes and worked away on this project. Anyhow when I get a little stir crazy inside I usually begin working on things I haven't gotten a chance to. Here's the thing, do you recognize the fabric above?  I originally purchased this fabric for the window coverings, but then I had an epiphany. The print was too overpowering for the roman blinds I wanted to create, so I decided on a whim that I was going to recover the chairs. I always loved the orange, but with all of the blue it felt too overpowering, I combined the fabric with a pale blue piping fabric, and that is what sold me. I love how subtle this looks, fits into our decor much better. I will post a wider shot when I have fished the second one- yes I did sew them myself(there are some small mistakes, hopefully you can't see)!! Whadyathink?

*** Piping- Here is a great tutorial!!
