Bathroom Makeover Part 2

Over the weekend I wanted to get in a few small changes before we had guests staying with us(this coming week). I wanted to paint out the downstairs bathroom to freshen things up. Since we moved in the bathrooms were pretty neglected, there were lots of holes in the walls from previous tenants, so I patched them up, and gave them a fresh coat of paint! Update the curtain, and remove unwanted hardware.... I wish I could change out the lighting, but not happening. That is one of the disadvantages of a rental. While I LOVE our place, there are somethings I just don't want to invest in till the place is our completely! I will post more pics this afternoon of the new curtain. I love being a busy bee in the summer, so much easier to get things done around the house!! 

The paint is so subtle on camera- but in person, it made a HUGE difference!

Peppermint Bliss

Happy May Everyone! Can you believe how quickly this year is flying by?

 Over the weekend I decided to freshen up the bathroom. As discussed last week, I purchased a litre of paint from Home Depot and was planning on finishing my dresser with it. Along the way I think I had another diversion, I painted the bathroom instead. Oops. Leave me with a can a paint over a weekend though and anything is possible! Here is the result, brighter, fresher, and happier. I am all about happy in the home, I am feeling summer right now and shade of green called Aruba, is just what the doctor ordered. 

Here is a retrospect of what it looked like before, while the neutral grey was great, it was time for a change. Amazing how a few coats of paint totally transforms a space.

Woof!!

Hey!!! Sorry for the absence, I have been entertaining guests for the past 5 days and haven't had an opportunity to really sit down and blog!! It was so nice to relax and enjoy some of the nicer weather that has come our way in Toronto the past few days, after all hell broke loose last week as we had a huge awful blizzard.... Believe it or not two weeks ago I was walking around in my trench coat and flats, little did I know a storm was lurking!!

Anyways I am really taken by this wallpaper. I found it it this months Rue and fell in love instantly with the room, and the home that it was in- and for that matter the blogger who lives in this home is amazing!! It is so playful and fun- I love it, and I know every time I would walk in to this powder room I would have a huge smile on my face!!
