HomeSav

Have you heard about HomeSav? They are a Canadian E-Commerce Site similar to One Kings Lane/Joss & Main. Recently I recommended one of their sofas to a client I am working with, the savings on large furniture items are major, if you can trim $500 off your sofa budget & get free shipping- I say why not! I also purchased a pillowcase from them- can't wait for it to arrive, to add to my collection, what can I say I can't get enough of a good throw pillow!!

Here is a board I put together it is loosely inspired by Kelly Wearstler & I have included several pieces of furniture off the HomeSav site, I love the Emerald Sofa!! I pilled loads of colour and texture on to add my signature! Check me out on the HomeSav Pinterest where I have been Pinning some of my fave Kelly Wearstler designs!! xo

Lindsay thanks for the little nod on your fab site Sadie & Stella!

Laura Collins Design will provide you with insight and guidance on how you can turn your home or office into a stylish reflection of your unique personality. Please contact me if you are interested in discussing the different design services I offer.

Canadiana

Hey All! How was your weekend?? My weekend was full of decorating and relaxation. We have been so lucky in Toronto to have all of this wonderful fall weather. This time of year in Calgary I am used to seeing a few feet of snow. We trooped out to Ikea on Saturday (for breakfast-with the masses) and stocked up on some picture frames(yes, they are pictureless!!), aside from the frames that are seen below, we also bought a really large white frame, as well as a walnut colored frame. I plan on putting more graphic art in the large white frame, and in the walnut- maybe a piece of photography- not sure yet.

Also, as you can see we have extended the book shelf- to hold more books, and folders, and I am trying to put together a vignette below the picture frames. Believe it or not when I took these picture if was just a little after 3pm but it is getting so dark in here that the picture quality is awful. In person it looks a helluvalot better!!

Above is the image I am going to used in the four white frames. I am going to take variations of that print and do it in four different colors. It is a super easy Adobe Illustrator project that takes under 20minutes. I am going with the color scheme of the room- so I have selected Chartreuse, a grey/blue, the mauve you see, and an orange!

What do you think?? A little modern Canadiana??

Cheers- Hope you all had a great weekend. xoxo

Art Deco Horses

As you all know, I love going to the antique fair each Sunday at the St. Lawrence Market!

This week I did find a little tray- which I will include in a picture later this week, but here are the two items that really caught my eye. I am thinking these are very Kelly Wearstler, Art Deco, South Beach- very chic boutique hotel, I am loving them, and the color is gorgeous-.

Anyways they were about $350 for the pair, and about 2 feet tall. Unfortunately we don't have room in our current space. I know that I will be thinking about these for a long time!

What do you think,?? If you are lucky maybe you could be the proud owner if you scoop them up next week??

Kelly Wearstler: HUE

For anyone who is a fan of Kelly Wearstler, interior design, or even Top Design- Kelly really exhibits her loud sense of design style in HUE, and I would highly recommend this book. Not only will it be a lovely on your coffee table, it will also encourage and inspire you to go beyond beige and take a chance on playing with colour in your space! Kelly's choices are bold, and her vision is eclectic but very regal. You will spend hours browsing through. Blayre my BF got this for me for X-Mas he picked the blue limited addition (so cute) and I LOVE it..... Enjoy!!
