She's Got Style

I love effortlessly chic looks. On a daily basis these are my go to's. Chambre, olive greens, stripes, suedes, camel coloured leathers, tortoise shell, silks. I do occasionally jump on the bandwagon when it comes to fads... Yes I am guilty.  I do try to steer clear and generally I gravitate towards neutral, versatile textiles, so that I am able to mix and match. Here are some fab looks for the weekend, what I love about all of these looks it they can pretty much all transition from one season to the next. All a printed scarf, change out boots to cute wedges, add a chunky sweater- BAM instant style!

Urban Jungle

Today I am feeling inspired by these neo classical cuts.  Last night Blayre, my sister, anda few friends headed to a comedy show, as the weather has improved I am loving being out and about in the city again. The thought of a fabulous city always leads me to my constant love of NYC.  New York is always refreshing and invigorating, I love the energy and the constant cool vibe willing me to continue the pursuit of creativity. This months issue of Lonny was great, one of my favorite issues yet. Michelle Adams of Lonny has the most incredible view, she looks over a land of opportunity and style, and Urban Jungle. 

Also, green, lavender, gold, and leopard are my new go to's, and fresh pops of pink are also catching my attention, feminine with edge- I am a huge fan of the masculine feminine vibe, pseudo Annie Hall. I am rambling  here are some images I put together to inspire!! 

 I am working on an idea right now that I am hoping you may all like- how would you feel about a curated shop??

Fashion Friday: Autumn Seaside

This fall is all about maroons, red, forest green, navy, tans and pops of blue. I have been wearing a ton of deep shades of red, (a colour I have NEVER been drawn to before-however I am an Aries so I guess it is about time) I love the richness of all of these colors when work together. I used to feel that red+green=Christmas... But if you choose the shades properly, and add some gold jewlery and a chic leopard print coat- Why not!!

My Man of Style

I wanted to shake things up a little for today's Friday Fashion by inviting Blayre to be my fashion subject!! Blayre and I have been together for about 7 years and through those years I have seen his style evolve from sporty basket ball player, to a well put together "Man of Style". I would call his style casual chic, with a touch of classic boy next door Americana. He tends to wear a lot of neutrals, such as camel, grey's, whites, navy, and and many other shades of blue(many variations found in a striped or checkered shirt). Over the years he has taken a way bigger interest in fashion, and recently began taking a Fashion/Lifestyle photography course, I am very proud of my guy.

Fashion Friday: Fall

What a fabulous summer we have been having. I know that I shouldn't be speaking about Fall, but I have been so excited by all of the fashions I have started to see in stores. I was so inspired by this color palette and the collegiate, cable knit sweater look has always been my favorite look for Fall. I can't wait to throw on a navy blue blazer, over a crisp white blouse. I want the summer to last as long as possible, but crisp summer nights that are easing into fall where I can pour myself a cup of spiced apple tea, or a pumpkin spiced latte are my favorite.

Fashion Friday- Cambridge Cool

This whole fashion inspiration board was created around that blazer. I am a huge blazer gal, I wear them all of the time(except in this intensely warm weather). I have them in all kinds of colours and styles, so I am always on the hunt for the next best style. The other day I came across this one in Matchbook Magazine and was sold. Two Penny Blue gives back for each jacket purchased, a school uniform is donated to a young lady in Africa. I love the idea of one girl helping another. In the future when I can invest more money into one of these beautifully tailored pieces, I would feel so good knowing my purchase was helping someone else out. Fashion Friday- Sky High Heels

I am always on the hunt for a pair of hot shoes- What girl isn't? From all of these have there own personalities, and can be paired with anything from a Little Black Dress, to a white summer shift. I am particularly fond of the acrylic heels on number 3. These shoes also happen to be on sale- not bad!

Wish I would have had a pair of these babies last night. Blayre and I went to celebrate Pride by watching my sister in a crazy fashion show at the Monsters ball. I would have loved to rock #4!! If you live in Toronto get out a and support Pride it runs till July 1st, I promise you will have a great time!

Tickled Pink

It is hot as hades in Toronto today- to be more accurate it is currently 31 degrees Celsius = 87.8 degrees Fahrenheit OMG, and did I mention we don't have air conditioning? Let's just say we are eating a lot of popsicles and ice cold drinks are being guzzled down! Pink is the first color I think of when I think of summer time, you can basically pair it with any color and it takes on a new look. Nothing is as feminine or fun then this hot hue. Try it with a neutral for something more contemporary, or something aqua for an island vibe, yellow if you really want to make it pop! Okay, must go stick my head in the fridge!! xoxo
